How we work<\/span><\/h2>\n

The relationship we seek to develop with our clients is much like the relationship you have with your doctor (general practitioner or GP). In a way, we’re like your financial GP. People trust their GP and we need to build a high level of trust with our clients. Your GP gets to know you and your medical history \u2013 much like we acquire a depth of knowledge about our clients and their history. GP\u2019s don\u2019t make money as a result of recommending medications, treatments or a referral to a specialist \u2013 and we don\u2019t make money from recommending investments or other professionals. You pay us a fee for a diagnosis and our advice. So, we are exactly like your family\u2019s GP with one important difference being that you typically only see your GP when something is wrong. However, we want regular contact with you because we can still add value even if everything\u2019s going right.<\/p>\n

It is easy for an advice business to scale up and help hundreds or thousands of clients. But sooner or later, it turns into a factory. We are not a factory. And we are proud of it! We believe that employing a holistic approach when working with clients maximises the value that we can provide. That is, the value of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That\u2019s because many financial decisions are multifaceted.<\/p>\n

In the absence of a holistic approach, it is left to the client to decide what information is important for each professional to know. However, often clients don\u2019t have enough knowledge and experience to do that, so opportunities and risks are inevitably missed.<\/p>\n
